The Academic General Practice Ireland (AGPI) is a national organisation representing academics and clinicians in primary care in Ireland. Established in 1997 to promote excellence in academic general practice and supported by the seven academic departments of general practice in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

AGPI aims to support the development of teaching and research within Irish academic general practice and primary care for the benefit of patients, practitioners, educators and researchers in Ireland.

Registration for the conference is open.
Abstract submission is now closed.
Bursaries will be available to support travel/conference attendance for presenters who have had a conference abstract accepted (to include practice nurses, trainees, medical students and full-time PhD students. Application details will be provided after abstract submission has closed.
Keynote speakers include Prof Dame Louise Robinson, Dr Margaret McCartney, Professor Robert Scully and Dr Padraic McCarthy.

Accommodation options and information for booking:
The River Lee Hotel, located just a 5 minute walk from the university, will hold 15 rooms per night for conference delegates at a rate of €260 B&B per room. Guests can contact the Reservations Team directly on +353214252700 or emailing [email protected] and quote the campaign code. Any rooms not reserved by 10th April will be released.
The Crow’s Nest campus accommodation, located just a 5-10 minutes from the university, will hold 80 rooms for conference delegates.
- Single Ensuite Room Rate: €140 per night (Bed + Continental Breakfast)
- Double Ensuite Room Rate: €160 per night (Bed + Continental Breakfast)
A Campaign Code which you can use to avail of the accomodation conference discounts will be issued to you on registering for the conference.
